What are the actual changes?
Microsoft’s changelogs for the Exam skills outline flatly states – for just about all – that “It would be difficult to list all the changes”. So – not help.
And when browsing the pages, it is a bit overwhelming to sort out old and new by yourself.
We will give you an in-depth understanding of the changes. Start by browsing the examples below – and then join us live where we will walk you thru the changes for each of the exams, as well as introducing the new exam topics in detail.
Highlights of the exam changes
Below just a few of the important changes that we have noticed so far:
MB-300 Core
The weighing/score of the sections – as well as the composition – has changed.
Example: The beefed-up functional group, renamed to Manage Finance and Operations data from the old name Perform data migration, now scores 25-30%, up from 15-20%
A new Manage data section has been added to the above-mentioned functional group.
The functional group Configure security, processes, and options score is down to 30-35% from a staggering 45-50%.
These changes were among the highlights in our live webinar on November 04. A replay of this webinar is available here
MB-310 Finance
The weighing/score of the sections – as well as the composition – has changed.
Example: The functional group Manage budgeting and fixed assets now 10-15%, was 15-20% (Some would be pleased here!)
Separated as a section (more prominent, probably counts more): Customer Credit Management
New skills measured:
- Revenue recognition.
- Expense management (to my surprise).
These new topics were among the highlights in our live webinar on October 21. A replay of this webinar is available here.
MB-320 Manufacturing
The weighing/score of the sections – as well as the composition – has changed.
More specific division and grouping into Discrete, Processing, and Lean manufacturing.
Master planning is a new skill measured.
The functional group Implement master planning for production scores 10-15%!
These changes will be among the highlights in our live webinar on November 10.
MB-330 Supply Chain Management
The weighing/score of the sections – as well as the composition – has changed.
Example: The functional group Warehouse and transportation management has some of the trickier topics removed, and counts less in the score; now 20-25%, was 25-30%
Master planning is a new skill measured. The functional group Implement Master planning scores 15-20%!
These changes were among the highlights in our live webinar on November 03. A replay of this webinar is available here.
