Which course type is right for me?

On-Demand Courses

On-demand courses are entirely online, you study independently, with all of your learning resources and material easily accessible. Courses are developed by our MSD365 Finance and Operations experts and delivered via our virtual learning environment through a series of short interactive lessons. On-demand enables you to learn even when you only have a few minutes to spare.

The on-demand courses have been developed to suit a range of learning styles, whether you prefer watching videos, reading text, viewing infographics or learning by doing – the variety of content and interactive activities are designed to keep you interested and motivated.

When you have signed up to one of our on-demand courses you’ll have access to the content for up to 90 days including tips on how to access to a free virtual online training environment and, where available, access to Microsoft official practice tests for 180 days.

Advantages: On-demand courses are flexible allowing you to learn in your own time, at your own pace and to dip in and out of the course content as you please. The most affordable way to learn.

Disadvantages: Need self-motivation and no interaction with other learners or instructors.

Perfect for: If you prefer independent study and can’t commit to a specific class time. If you want to fit learning in around full-time work or other commitments on-demand offers great flexibility.

Classroom Based Courses

If you prefer a more traditional approach to study and enjoy being face-to-face with your instructor and fellow learners, you may be better suited to a classroom training environment. Our classroom-based courses are led by world-class instructors who all have extensive technical experience and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to pick their brains!

These courses include training manuals, training environment, food, and beverages for the duration of training so you can completely focus on learning.

During the training, students have access to their own personal copy of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations training environment (with standard Contoso demo data) free of charge which is available 24 hours a day even outside the classroom, should you want to continue studying outside the standard class hours. It's available for 180 days depending on the class you attend.

We offer an all-inclusive option to include accommodation, airport transfers, and food – all you need to do is turn up and we’ll worry about the rest!

Advantages: Attending a dedicated class means you have a set time to study. You get the support of your instructor face-to-face and the opportunity to interact with other learners.

Disadvantages: You need to attend a physical location at a set time and is not as suited to people who prefer working independently. Cost.

Perfect for: People who prefer in-person support and have the time and resources to dedicate to attend. Ideal if you are easily distracted and lack the discipline for self-study.

Live Online Courses

Our live online courses (also known as Virtual Classroom or Virtual Instructor-Led) are designed to simulate traditional classroom-based courses but are delivered online to remote learners. Our skilled instructors deliver an engaging experience in which participants can connect with the content and interact with both the instructor and other learners. Live online courses offer the benefits of classroom led learning without the need to physically be there.

As with our Classroom Based Courses, you’ll have access to a private virtual online training environment for 180 days (depending on the actual course) and, where available, the Microsoft official practice tests.

Advantages: Attending a dedicated class means you have a set time to study and get the opportunity to get real-time feedback as well as interaction with other learners. Also, the sessions are recorded and available for 30 days. Really useful, if you miss a session, or if you want a recap.

Disadvantages: Cost.

Perfect for: People who prefer to have the support of an instructor but are unable to attend a physical location. Ideal if you want live support and more encouragement than available on-demand.

Blended Learning

Blending learning is the perfect balance between on-demand and live online courses combining elements of both as well as offering additional live ‘Question & Answer’ sessions.

Blended learning offers the ‘best of both worlds’ where learners can attend live classes, get their questions answered by our experts in dedicated sessions and learn independently in their own time.

You’ll have access to the on-demand content for up to 90 days, access to a private virtual online training environment for 180 days (depending on the actual course) and, where available, official practice tests.

Advantages: Access to a dedicated instructor and opportunity to interact with other learners as well as study independently, giving you the opportunity to really focus on the areas you need as well as getting live support. Also, the sessions are recorded and available for 30 days. Really useful, if you miss a session, or if you want a recap.

Disadvantages: A slightly higher cost than live online courses.

Perfect for: People who want a balance of interaction with instructors and learners and an element of independent study.
